Complete text of the paper. Pages 1-5 are typescript with extensive corrections in Conrad's hand, p. 6-[59] in manuscript with extensive revisions. Page 9 is in shorthand. Also present are an autograph note, [s.d.], about the writing and publication of the paper; an inscribed wrapper that once held the manuscript; and the address panel in Conrad's hand of an envelope in which he mailed the manuscript to John Quinn in 1913.
